He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Guillory and Mary Guillory (Tankersley); and his brother Cecil Guillory. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Guillory; his sons, Matthew Whitaker and Steven Whitaker (Debra); and his close friend John Henderson Sr.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
