He was predeceased by: his parents, Concepcion Montez and Maria De Jesus Montez; his son Andres Montez; and his siblings, Isidro Montez, Celia Olivas and Magarita Montez Canul.
He is survived by: his son Emilio Montez Jr.; his siblings, Frances Moreno (Daniel) of Lovington, Hilda Hernandez (Manuel) of Lovington, Delma Sanchez (Joe) of Lovington and Ventura Montez (Maria Luisa) of Arizona; Emilio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
