He is survived by: his wife Mary Leal; his children, Joe A Leal Jr. (Melony) of Hobbs, Steven Leal of Lovington and Lisa (Joe D. Gomez) of Lovington; his grandchildren, Shyra (Eric Gutierrez), Zane Stewart, Calee (Ricardo Blanco), D'Marcus, Francheska (CJ Hendrickson), Semoree (Jadin), Ayden, Wyatt and Demarcus Thompson; his great grandchildren, Dominic, Dondre, Nano, Judith, Elijiah, Gionni, Scarlett, Joseph and Hazel; and his siblings, Maria Olivarez (Eliberto), Minerva De Los Santos (Sonny) and Roy Betancourt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
