He was predeceased by: his parents, Eusebio Utajara and Ismaela Utajara (Proaño); and his siblings, Santiago Valenzuela, Eusebio Utajara Jr., Gregoria Castro and Manuela Perchez.
He is survived by: his wife Eduvijes Utajara; his children, Jorge Utajara (Jessica), Marisa (Tim Board) and Maria (Gilbert Tapia); his siblings, Raul Utajara, Socorro Utajara, Martha Utajara, Mirna Utajara, Jesus Valenzuela and Elifonzo Valenzuela; his grandchildren, Noel Tapia, Brian Tapia, Pablo Aguilera, Adam Aguilera, Daisy Tapia and Idaly (Alberto Alba); and his great grandchildren, Mikaela Alba and Maya Alba. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
