With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Collins of Lovington, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 56. In the vast expanse of eternity, Maria shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Maria farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her father Jose Tarango; and her son Isaiah Collins. She is survived by: her mother Maria Elena Tarango (Ponce); her daughter Mercedis King; her siblings, Martin Tarango (Lacey), Jose Luis Ponce (Maria) of Los Angeles, Mari (Ruben Gonzalez), Gloria Gonzalez and Idania (Carlos Hernandez); and her granddaughter Sofia King.
