He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Castillo Marquez and Engracia Rodriguez Roldon; his wife Maria Paz Marquez; his son Jose Manuel Castillo; and his siblings, Jesus Castillo, Pedro Castillo and Elidia Castillo.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Castillo, Tomas Castillo, Maria of Rosario Castillo and Sofia Olivia Castillo; and his brother Margarito Castillo. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
