It is with sadness that the passing of Monica Ann Kazhe-Dorame (Mescalero, New Mexico) is shared. Monica, born on October 26, 1970 in Tularosa, New Mexico, passed away on July 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Iris Kazhe and Nathaniel Kazhe Sr.; her husband Andre Dorame; her adoptive parents, Ester Baca and Johnnie Mendez; her brother Johnny Mendez; her parents-in-law, Tony Dorame and Terri Lopez (Kyndra Coates); and her son Christian Kazhe.
She is survived by: her children, Iris Aguilera (Matthew) of Las Cruces, Vivian Rodriguez of Bent, Dakota Kazhe (Marissa) of Tularosa, Journie Rodriguez (Ty) of Mescalero and Anthony Rodriguez (Lenaya) of Mescalero; her grandchildren, Lilly, Milo, Melanie, Aubrey, Bella, Mateo and Layla; and her siblings, Deland Kazhe, Nathaniel Kazhe Jr., David Mendez, Pablo Mendez, Carlos Mendez, Chris Mendez, Robert Mendez, Christina Mendez and Jerry Shanta. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
