With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Genevieve (Beva) Rivera (Mora, New Mexico), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Genevieve left this world on September 27, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her father Emilio Duran; her husband Francisco A. Rivera; her son Anthony E. Rivera; her parent Francisquita Cruz Duran; her siblings, Rosalia Guevara, Perfecto Duran and Nora Martinez; her son-in-law George Boyce; and her great grandchild Xavier McDonnell.
She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Boyce, Marino Rivera, Frances Tweed (Larry), Patricia Matejicka (Steve) and Deborah Rivera (Antonio); her daughter-in-law Megan McCawley-Rivera; her grandchildren, Carmen Rivera, Diego Rivera (Monica), Angelica Rivera, Larry Tweed II, John Tiernan (Kristin), Jessica Tiernan, Gene Sandoval Jr. (Brandie), Amanda Sandoval (Angelo), Anthony Rivera Jr., Joshua Rivera (Hannah) and Joseph Rivera; and her sister Josie Gonzales. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Gertrude Church (1 Church Plz, Mora, NM 87732). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
