With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Ivey (Mountainair, New Mexico), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Benning and Norma Benning (Droege); and her husband Carl. She is survived by: her children, Julie, Mary (Scott), John (Diane), Dan (Mandy), Steve (Linda) and Mark (Nicole); her grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Jesse, Joe, Jason, Michael, Jack and Noah; her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob, Zach, Isaiah, Eli and Silas; her great great grandchildren, Sophia and Eric; her grandson Eric Childers; her brother David Benning (Jean); and her friends, Helen, Alan Geuder, Albuquerque and Ruth.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School - 300 Gold Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
