We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2023, at the age of 80, Rudy R. Varela (Pecos, New Mexico) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Varela and Frank Varela Sr.; his brother Ralph Varela; his godson Brian Varela; and his nephews, Bert Varela, Norman Varela and Ivan Varela.

He is survived by : his wife Theresa Varela; his children, Maury Varela, Warren Varela (Bernadette), Amanda (John Keehart) and Reneé Varela; his grandchildren, Celia, Ashley, Matthew (Candice), Gabrielle, Rosendo, Ariana and Bryanna (Alan); his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Camden and Brynley; and his godchildren, Monica Lujan, Alberta Bernal and Allen Archuleta. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
