He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Varela and Maria Varela; his brothers, Ralph and Rudy (Jane); and his sister-in-law Connie.
He is survived by: his siblings, Frank (Vangie), Roy (Lucy), Albert and JoAnn (Felipe); his sister-in-law Teresa Varela; and his pet Monty. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St Anthony's Catholic Church (11 St Anthonys Loop, Pecos, NM 87552).
