He is survived by: his children, Alana Mares, Holly Mares and Sam Mares; his siblings, Moe Mares and Gilbert Mares; his cousin Jeanie Ortiz; his pet Mocha; and his mother-in-law Toni Arquero. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 815 NM-22, Peña Blanca, NM 87041.
