She was predeceased by: her son Michael Ray Montiel; and her grandparents, José U. Otero, Filomena Otero, Louis G. Ray and Jennie P. Ray.

She is survived by: her children, Raul, Alejandro, Mario and Destiny; her parents, Leon Otero and Joan Otero; and her siblings, José (Veronica), Manuel (Jade), Antonio (Julia) and Monica (Joseph). She is also survived by numerous nephews, uncles, nieces, aunts, and cousins.
