He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Ray Ward Sr. of Texas County and Lucille Mae Pritchett; his former wife Marta; his grandparents, Charles Marvin Ward, Effie Mendenhall Ward, Thomas Sherman "Tomie" Pritchett and Blanche Marie Myers; his uncle Charles Edward Ward; and his brothers-in-law, Lynn Luther Martin and Kurt Reynolds Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Natalie Jeanne and Kristofer Martin of Portales; his wife Debra; his half-siblings, Carolyn Sue Pritchett Huelsing (Ken) of St. Louis, Missouri, Daniel Queen Avalonne (Patti) of Oregon and Thomas Daniel Avalonne (Cheryl) of Old Bridge; and his siblings-in-law, Marione Derrickson Martin (Lynn) of Alva, Judy Jeanne Martin Doering (Harlan) of Tyler, Tara Lee Martin Calhoun of Norman, Katherine Dye Payton (James Stephen) of Lubbock and Brian Durwood Murphy-Dye (Jennifer) of Albuquerque.
