Ronald Everett Caviness Obituary

We announce the death of Ronald Everett Caviness of Portales, New Mexico, born in Clovis, New Mexico, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 79. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Caviness and Ruth Caviness; his grandparents, Jim, Fronie Caviness (White), G. W. and Artie Gardner (Hart); and his siblings, Lee Ross Caviness, Gary Caviness and Artie Lee Caviness.

He is survived by: his siblings, Darrell Caviness (Paula) of Causey and Fern Goodson (Buz) of Portales; his sister-in-law Jill Caviness of Causey; and his children, Clay and Kendra. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
