He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Chaves and Hilda Chaves (Cadinha); and his brother Nolan Chaves. He is survived by: his children, Danny Chaves (Sheryl), Janice Maggard (Phil Maggard) and Shane Burris; and his grandchildren, Zack Costopoulos, Mason Maggard, Zach Smith, Dondi Smith, Jordan Smith, Tanner Smith, Paisley Smith and Kensley Burris.
