He was predeceased by: his parents, Teodoro Montoya and Bersabe Montoya; his wife Maria Montoya; and his siblings, Emelia Montes, Alvesa Sanches and Candido Montoya.

He is survived by: his brother Monroy Montoya (Gerty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
