He was predeceased by: his parents, W. D. Sterrett and Bessie Sterrett; his sister Louise Eakens; and his wife Christine Sterrett. He is survived by: his children, Mark Sterrett (Joni), Debbie Wood (Earl), Scott Sterrett (Diana) and Kristi LaBine; his grandchildren, Corrie Beth Rivera, Clay Sterrett, Kathleen Turner Garcia, Leslie Cole, Kelly Wood Smith, Michael S. LaBine, Kayla Bennett, Josh LaBine, Jessica Hawrylak and Daniel Sterrett; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Cole, Griffin Cole, Ryder Smith, Isaiah Rivera, Travis Rivera and Cheyenne Grace Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Charles name, to First United Methodist Church Youth fund, 200 N Pennsylvania Ave, Roswell, NM 88201.
