He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Herrington and Lilly Myrtle Griffin Herrington (Shirley Herrington); his daughter-in-law Cheryl Herrington; his son Milt Herrington; his daughter-in-law Vicki Herrington; and his grandchildren, Marilea Schmid and Joe Herrington.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Herrington; his children, Mike Herrington, Jake Schmid (Sandy), Ivan Schmid (Beverly), Wayne Schmid, Curtis Schmid, Charlene Eakin (Earl) and Lora Richardson (Fred); and his brothers, Joe Herrington and Wayne Herrington. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the South Park Cemetery (3101 S Main St, Roswell, NM 88203).
