He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Peralta Velasquez and Manuelita Giron; his wife Esperanza Velasquez; and his son Joe Fatima Velasquez. He is survived by: his daughters, Corina Reynaud (Rick Reynaud) and Lorina Lucas (Matt Lucas); his grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah Reynaud, Anthony Samario and Donovan Lucas; his great grandchild Veliciana Samario; and his siblings, Cruz Carrillo, Rosemary Lopez, Gloria Velasquez, Adan Velasquez (Helen), Fermin Velasquez, Alfred Velasquez and Ryc Velasquez (Diana).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (109 E Deming St, Roswell, NM 88203). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Peters Catholic Church (109 E Deming St, Roswell, NM 88203). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Ballard Funeral Home (910 S Main St, Las Cruces, NM 88005).
