As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joseph may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carter Evans and Bertie Evans; his brother James; and his wife Sandra C. Evans. He is survived by: his daughter Becki Hammond (Phillip); his grandson Trey Lynch (Cheree); his nephews, Darrell Evans (Tammy) and Roger Evans (Kim); and his sister-in-law Denise "Nesie" Mathis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any Humane Society in Joe's memory.
