He was predeceased by: his mother Jesusita Fuentes; his stepfather Ben Fuentes; his siblings, Joe Ornelas Sr. and Virginia Alvarez; and his nephew Eddy Ornelas.
He is survived by: his brother Mike Fuentes; and his sibling's children, Joe Ornelas Jr., Kerry Ornelas, Barry Ornelas, Jerrod Ornelas and Idajo Palma.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Terpening & Son Chapel (611 W Grand Ave, Artesia, NM 88210).
