He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerben Zylstra and Marguerite Zylstra; his stepmother Cora Zylstra; his siblings, Gerald Zylstra, Bertha Tencate and Gertrude Verburg; his stepbrother Lambert Steen; and his grandson Billy Sarris (Gertrude Zylstra).
He is survived by: his sister Angie Haan; his children, Gerben John (Jennifer), David Alan, Wilma Beth Miley (Jewell Ray), Marie Anne Zylstra and Carol Joy Rouse; his grandchildren, Emily Reese, Marjorie Sarris, Joshua, Jacob Miley and Kailin Rouse; and his great grandchildren, Stevie D'Angelo, Logan Lupico, Emir Wilson and Alex Lupico.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Redeemer Christian Fellowship Church (900 W Berrendo Rd, Roswell, NM 88201).
