He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Montoya and Eufrasia Montoya; and his siblings, Samuel Jr., Joe, David, George and Ursula.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Cynthia (Ailbe), Lucas Moreno (Marissa), Joshua Archuleta (Maria), Gilliane Krukow (Jared), Chelsey Skipworth and AJ Dickman; his grandchildren, Vincent, Ava, Addyson, Abagail, Gabriella, Joel and Alissa; his children, Deborah (Michael), Travis Sumruld (April), Amber Bouldin (Michael) and Jacob Sumruld (Hannah); his grandchildren, Ceslie, Bishop and Asher; his children, Brad (Kimberly), Kami Fessler (Noah), Bailey Archuleta and Abagail Archuleta; his grandchildren, Giana and Jonah Fessler; and his brother-in-law Modesto Chavez. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
