She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Augustus Gill and Olga Helena Gill (Swinney); her granddaughter Shala Rae Monk; her grandparent granny Gill (grandaddy Gill); and her sisters, Helen Aston and Mildred Fenter.

She is survived by: her children, Judi Thomas (Walter Cartier) of Carrizozo, NM, Kenneth Monk (Neita) of Lubbock, TX, John Monk (Shelly) of Roswell, NM and Keith Monk (Wendy Cranford) of Rutherfordton, NC; and her sister Lou Girard (Cheryl Douglas) of Asher, OK.
