It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Refugio Gonzalez Carbajal (Roswell, New Mexico), who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marcelo Gonzalez and Paula Carbajal; his siblings, Maria, Martin, Guadalupe, Rebeca, Carmela, Adela, Patricia, Delfina, Marcelo, Cecilia and Elizabeth; his children, Wendy Adileni, Elvia, Jesus and Sebastian; and his grandchildren, Zarai, Santiago Perez, Thiago Mateo Nevárez and Alejandro Gonzalez.
Even though everything else was scarred like his lungs from when he acquired COVID back in Thanksgiving of 2021, he survived 89 days being hospitalized and came home to us on March 3, 2022. Refugio was a miracle of God in having survived COVID, a stroke, and being severely septic during his time in the hospital.
