He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Basilio Yruegas and Victoria Yruegas; his wife Sharla George; his daughters, Amanda Yruegas Thomas (Seth) and Jennifer Yruegas Webb (Jason); his grandchildren, Brittania Henry, Irick Henry, Kiara Hickman, Gavin Webb and Carter Webb; and his siblings, Benny Yruegas (Kelley), Joanna Yruegas, Karen Yruegas Reynolds and Elva Yruegas.

Richard's family suggests donations be made to the Altar Guild of Immanuel Lutheran Church in honor of his memory.
