He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Tivis and Lois Tivis; his brother Jimmy Tivis; his parents-in-law, Verlin and Madeen Casey; his brother-in-law Bob Morgan; his nephew Steve Lee; and his niece Robyn Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Pat Tivis (Casey); his sons, Todd (Kristie) and Chad; his grandchildren, Tiffani (Justin) and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Myer, Merle and Marley Martin; his brother Danny; his sister-in-law Peggy Tivis; his sisters, Dottie (Dwayne Lee) and Jo Ann (Owen Kilgore); and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Tivis, Phyllis Dever and Doniece Morgan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
