He is survived by : his daughter Carmen Serenity (Amy Albright); his grandchildren, Necalo, Celina, Jasmine, Dayton and Miguel; his birth mother Louella; his adoptive mother Mary Bruer; his sister Kristin; his brother-in-law Roman Charvea; his nephew Lucien; his nieces, Evelyn and Olivia; his uncle Kevin; his aunt Shelley Bruer; and his grandmothers, Geraldine Smith and Verna Styck. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1316 N Scenic Dr, Alamogordo, NM 88310). Viewing was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso (341 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mescalero Cemetery.
