With sadness, we share the passing of Jarod Tyler Chico (Ruidoso, New Mexico). Jarod, born on August 10, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 10, 2026. He was predeceased by: his mother Jocelyn Chico; his brother Murray Chico; his grandparents, Willeto, Josephine Antonio, Walter and Velma Chico; and his foster parents, Charles Shanta (Buffy) and Sandra Shanta.
He is survived by: his father Gilbert Antonio; his siblings, Tristine Duran and Warren Antonio Spitty; and his nieces and nephews, Murray Chico-Pesewonit, Emmalena Antonio Spitty, Cassius Duran and Carter Duran.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the LaGrone Funeral Chapel (341 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mescalero Reformed Church (336 Wardlaw Dr, Mescalero, NM 88340).
