He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melaski and Irene Melaski-Alexander; his stepfather Kenneth Alexander; and his sister Carole Denise Tucker. He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Melaski; his children, Jason Melaski (Michael Tinnin), Tammy Birdsong (Kent) and Tracy Comstock (Marc); his grandchildren, Michelle Essary, Michael Remillard, Tiffany Powers and Matthew Horton; and his sisters, Virginia Boggs (Ginny) and Suanne Wilson. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
