She is survived by: her husband Spencer Cojo; her children, Daniel and Miley; her parents, David Shanta and Myra LaPaz; her siblings, Derrick Blake, Randy Tazaah, Elijah Blake, Tara, Chrislynn and Tamerah Shanta; and her nieces and nephews, Lorraine Damon, Adriel Valdez, Taylor Ruiz, Brielynn Valdez, Lani Cojo, Raleigha Kazhe, Angel Kazhe, Amelia Cojo, Athena Cojo, Marcos Shanta, Jackson Ruiz, Anson Damon, Coleson Valdez, Ezekiel Cojo and Seth Kahze.
Viewing was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the LaGrone Funeral Chapel (341 Sudderth Dr, Ruidoso, NM 88345). A rosary was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Saint Joseph Apache Mission Church (636 Mission Rd, Mescalero, NM 88340). A Mass was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
