She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Sanchez and Florinda Salsberry Sanchez; her siblings, Ernest, Orlando, Cynthia and Magdalena; her in-laws, Fermin S. and Cirenia Montes; her children, Katherine Gail, Robert Gabriel and Christopher Michael Montes; and her grandsons, Christopher and Bobby Joe.
She is survived by: her husband Robert G. "Chango" Montes; her daughters, Gail Ramirez of Roswell, Karen Montes of Roswell and Lisa Montes of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Johnny, Ernest, Kathrine, Jaydan, Jocelyn, Marisa and Lydia; and her siblings, Luvin Sanchez (Francis), Brezel Sanchez (Minnie), Delfina Vega, Flora Vega, Freddy Sanchez (Bertha) and Roman Sanchez (Yvonne). She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (28104 Peter Hurd Loop, San Patricio, NM 88348). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hondo Cemetery.
