He was predeceased by: his wife Melinda Pekarcik; his sister Jane Lawrence; his parents, Adolf Pekarcik and Marion Pekarcik; and his parents-in-law, Juan and Gregorita Chavarria.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Granich (Tom), Phillip Pekarcik (Maria), Steven Pekarcik (Chantel) and Dorian Pekarcik (Ines Fessler); his grandchildren, Trisha, Andrew, Marielouise, Zachary, Christopher and Leah; his great grandchildren, Vanellope, Mileena, Lisanna and Coraline; and his brother-in-law Dave Chavarilla (Suzette). He is also survived by family members and close friends.
