It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy E. Salazar Sr. (Santa Cruz, New Mexico), born in Espanola, New Mexico, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramoncito Salazar and Alberta Salazar; his daughter Amy Salazar; his granddaughter Kishaw Romero; and his brothers, Gilbert Salazar and Adolfo Salazar.
He is survived by: his children, Briana Valencia and Roy Eugene Salazar Jr.; his grandchildren, Scarlett Hernandez, Savanah Salazar, Adrian Romero, Julian Romero, Roy Eugene Salazar III and Little Waldy; his siblings, Clyde Salazar (Lucy), Richard Salazar (Carol) and Carmela Salazar; his nephew John Ramon Vigil; his sister Teresa Martinez (Lee); and his friend Kenny Vigil. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and cherished friends.
