He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomasa Velarde and Alejandro Velarde; his birth mother Margie Aldava; and his brothers, Julio Olguin Sr. and Tommy Barron.
He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Isaac (Michele) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Alejandro, Arianna, Alexis, Gabriel, Brooke, Love, Harmony, Lilia, Brielle, Jimmy and Anita; his great grandchildren, Aleena and Kai; his siblings, Manuel Olguin, Phillip Velarde, Larry, Vincent, Paul, Esther and Pancha; and his brother-in-law Ruben Romero. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Berardinelli Family Funeral Service (1399 Luisa St, Santa Fe, NM 87505). A rosary was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (100 S Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501). A burial was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Rosario Cemetery (499 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501). A reception was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at 1320 Luisa St, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
