He was predeceased by: his parent Santa Fe; and his wife Reyes Montano. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Montano, Dolores Montano-Pena, Ferbie Montano (Kathleen) and Theresa Montano (Fred); his grandchildren, Phillip Montano, Genevieve Valencia, Amanda Montano, Ferbie Montano, Jr., Ben Gomez, Jade Montano, Rayes Montano and Pablo Montano; his great grandchildren, Dominic Luna, Liza Luna, Brandon Montano, Serenity Valencia, Bonnie Montano, Grace Montano, Reyna Gomez, Rebecca Gomez, Nora, Luke Montano, Calvin Montano and Nova Montano; and his sister Theresa Gonzales.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Paz Catholic Church (11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87508). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
