He was predeceased by: his mother Isabel Montoya; and his sister Angela Ann Montoya. He is survived by: his father Carlos Montoya; his son Charles Montoya III; his daughter-in-law Chrystal Montoya; his grandson James Montoya; his girlfriend Denise Borrego; his sister Suzanna Sandoval; his niece Charlene Sandoval; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jade, Isabel and Michael; his niece Juanita Fava (Robert); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, David, Esperanza, Gabriel and Aaliyah. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi (131 Cathedral Pl, Santa Fe, NM 87501). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
