He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan B. Valdes and Dora P. Valdes of Santa Fe; his former wife Patricia J. Valdes; and his brothers, John G. Valdes (Eppie), Lawrence Valdes (Wilma) and Gene Valdes (Clara).
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Pesenti-Valdes; and his children, Janet M. Valdes and John J. Valdes (Everet R. Apodaca).
