She was predeceased by : her husband Donald Barnes; her parents, Frances Duran and Arturo Duran; and her siblings, Florence Duran Lynch and Leonard Duran.

She is survived by : her children, Cindy Lerma and Mark Lerma; her grandchildren, Pamela Lerma and Joshua Shepard; her great grandchild Joshua Shepard Jr.; and her sister Eleonor Duran.

A burial was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
