She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Frey (Griffith) and Robert F. Frey Jr. (Corbett "Corby" G. Frey). She is survived by: her husband Steven D. Skopik of Santa Fe; her daughter Maria S. Kniskern; her grandson Jonathan "Jonny" Kniskern of Santa Fe; her sons, John of Santa Fe and Steven T. of Ithaca; and her brothers, Robert F. Frey III (Phyllis) of Ottawa and William Frey (Sharon) of Norwalk.

In the pre-pandemic years, she enjoyed going to movies and trying new restaurants.

Donations in Linda's remembrance may be made to the Ottawa Presbyterian Church or to the Putnam County Library, which was founded by Linda's great-grandmother Mazie (Hauck) Frey in 1924.
