She was predeceased by: her spouse Cruz H. Rios; her parents, Florencio Esquibel and Martinita Ulibarri Esquibel; her in-laws, Geronimo Rios and Candelaria Hijnojo; her daughters, Margarita Rios (Margie) and Barbarba Bland; her son-in-law Jack Bland; and her siblings, Dario Esquibel (Emma), Daniel Esquibel, Tito Esquibel (Francis), Filadelfo (Phil), Dolores Padilla (Ezekiel), Eufemia Padilla (Isidro), Josie Stovall (Jim) and Ricarda Montano (Joe).
She is survived by: her daughter Rosalinda Roybal (Bobby); her caregivers, Maria Elena Padilla, Estella Rios and Patricia Aragon (Fermin); her sons, Peter (Eileen) and Francisco "Kiko" Rios; and her brother Alfonso Esquibel (Della). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Matilde Rios to the Carmelite Monastery of Santa Fe, church, or charity of your choosing.
