She was predeceased by: her parents, Fidel Romero and Refugio Ortiz Romero; her husband Ben Montoya; her son Danny Montoya; and her sister Janie Mead of Las Vegas, Nevada..
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Montoya, Bennie (Ben), Michael Montoya (Barbara) and Vicki Barela (John); her grandchildren, Crystal, Daniel, Lance Montoya, Michelle Langehennig, James Barela, David (Kim) and Carl Vigil (Candice); and her great grandchildren, Theresa, Lucyanna Vigil, John Michael and Jenna Langehennig. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
