It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verne Lee Lucero Jr. (Santa Fe, New Mexico), who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Rose Lucero; his stepmother Christie Lucero; and his sibling's children, Denette Gallegos, Dennis Gallegos Jr. and Jonathan Abeyta.
He is survived by: his father Verne Lee Lucero Sr.; his children, Gregory Scargall, Gavin Lawrence, Ashley Lawrence (Jesus) and Amanda Lawrence (Nick); his grandchildren, Maya, Prescott Scargall, Aurora, Veronica, Fiona Gonzalez, Jazmine and Sunny Narvaiz; and his siblings, Zacary Lucero, Eric Lucero, Debera Gonzalez (Tom), Angela Gallegos (Dennis) and Lenora Jeanie Crow (William). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beautiful Historic San Isidro Catholic Church (3694 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87507).
