He was predeceased by: his parents, Secundino Rivera and Eloisa Rivera (Padilla); his son Gabriel Rivera; his niece Rosie Padilla; his brother Granfe Rivera; his in-laws, David and Elena Montoya; and his brothers-in-law, Charlie Montoya and Zenon Montoya.

He is survived by: his wife Delia Rivera; his children, David Rivera (Yvette) and Catrina Gallegos (Frank); his daughter-in-law Evelyn Rivera of Santa Rosa; his grandchildren, Melissa Jimenez (Roy) of Abilene, TX, Jessica Rivera (Oscar Telles) of Las Cruces, NM, Nadine Aguilar (Ricardo), Christopher Gallegos of Santa Rosa and Daniel Rivera of Las Cruces, NM.; his great grandchildren, Alani, Camden Jimenez, Sophia, Maddison Telles, Ricardo, Emma Aguilar, Gabriel Rivera, Mila, Giana and Michael Bailey; his cousin Esther Baca; and his sisters-in-law, Rey Salazar and Alice Montoya. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

Sec Rivera's contributions to his family and community have left an indelible mark that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
