She is survived by: her children, Timothy "Chun" Bates, Cindy Bates-Begay, Nadine Bates, Della Bates and Clara Bates; and her sister Caroline Brown. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
