He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentin Vega and Eugenia Vega; and his siblings, Julian Vega, Carmen Guaderrama and Gloria Flores.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Vega; his daughters, Yvette Biggs (Raymond) and Jennifer Vega (Les Brown); and his grandchildren, Mariah Vega-Mitchell (Dylan), Jac Vega-Reid (Amber), Jonah Vega-Reid (Grace) and Jacob Biggs.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to consider a donation in memory of Fred Vega to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at mda.org.
