It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Gilbert Gardner of Silver City, New Mexico, born in Deming, New Mexico, who passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola May Gardner (Prestridge) and Gib Gardner; and his parents-in-law, Ray and Donna Carter (Smith). He is survived by: his children, Russell Gardner (Lucinda), Kevin Gardner (Kathleen) of Las Cruces, NM, Stan Gardner (Liz) of Silver City and Carrie (Gardner); his grandchildren, Tyler Gardner (Sydney), Raelyn Ogaz (Lucas), Julia Gardner, Madeleine Gardner, Sarah Gardner, KyLee Pearson (Josh), Clay Rice (Emma) and Chance Rice; his great grandchildren, JW Gardner, Lane and Remi Ogaz; his grandchildren, Heather, Nikole and Carter Pearson; his aunt Thelma Pelayo (Gardner) of Deming; his sister-in-law Dotty Carter of Silver City; his sister Dorothy Taylor (John); his nieces and nephews, Glen, Kathy and Bonnie Taylor; his sisters, Norene Tow (Gardner) and Geneva Adams (Gardner); his nephew Henry Adams; his siblings-in-law, Gale, Jep Carter and Elaine Carter (Cothrun); and his granddaughter Megan Nicole Gardner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
