He was predeceased by: his parents, Ricardo Chavez and Maria Chavez; and his sister Beatriz Flores. He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Priscilla Lucero (Manuel) of Silver City and Richard Chavez (Eloisa) of Silver City; and his grandchildren, Carlos Lucero (Michele McDonald), Andrea Chavez and Alexa Chavez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
