Karen Lucille Hughes Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Karen Lucille Hughes of Silver City, New Mexico is shared. Karen, born on January 16, 1944, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Karen will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Karen by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Karen is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Karen’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Foy Hughes and Elva Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Angelique and Roman Kilgore; her grandson Aaron Fade; and her sisters, Polly Hughes and Miriam Hughes. She is also survived by 9 other grandchildren, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
